Eat when you are hungry and live.
people eat for many reasons. cause we need to, cause we want to. we eat. we digest. we poop. the worms are fed and the birds are fed. it’s cyclic and time consuming process, yet it must be done if we want to live, but in this context we are no different than beast. what sets humanity apart is our ability to see more than what is, to do more than what is done. our minds are distinctly individual, as we only live our own existence, yet obviously connected as we share knowledge and emotion, these being the food of the mind. And as the body needs food to function, the mind needs food to divine. The mind needs to consume; books, art, stories, connections. It needs to digest; reflect, develop itself, build intuition; It needs to expel; apply, create, share. and like the body this is a cyclic and time consuming process. However, unlike the body, the mind is significantly less tangible. we can starve our mind and easily be blind to the effects. as the world grows evermore connected we have endless lifetimes of knowledge and emotion to consume, yet we fight amongst ourselves, we withhold knowledge, valuing each other by what we possess[+]. When we consume now, we often immediately regurgitate it in the name of money, social status, or survival. We neglect the digestion process and leave the acidified remains to poison the well. and the only way to cleanse the well is to take your time, digest your food and expel. who knows your shit just might stink.
[+]in our society, peoples value is determined by what they posses; their money, their status, their ability to get bitches (yes, I get no bitches, send pls), their ability to get a job (you die if you can’t do this and if you do it makes you want to kys, go capitalism!), and if you cannot provide to society you’re cast aside to make room for the desirable human. i.e, This is not to say materialism is bad, it’s natural, but using materialism as a social value system is dehumanizing. I propose the more sustainable ideal that while, yes, ability is valuable, a person’s value is determined not by their ability, but by our shared mind. Everyone is, in fact, a human being.
